Executive Summary : | The Northeast region of the country frequently experiences floods and disasters, which directly impact the livelihood of people in the region and hamper the flora and fauna. The most vulnerable among them are the rural people whose primary subsistence depends on agriculture. As such, we propose that the Innovation Challenge should focus on "Disaster Management and Risk Reduction using Geospatial Innovation" for the Northeast Indian region, with a primary emphasis on the Barak Valley. |
