Executive Summary :

Rare-earth chalcogenides Ln?X?, a binary compound with unique physical properties such as superconductivity, magnetic, and thermoelectric properties, have been studied for their potential applications in materials chemistry. These compounds, which lack an inversion center, exhibit antisymmetric spin-orbit coupling, allowing for the admixture of spin-singlet and spin-triplet pairing states within the same orbital channel. These compounds are also known for their efficient thermoelectric properties, with La?Te? and Ce?Te? being good examples. The need for new materials with higher figure-of-merit and thermal stability in Peltier and Seebeck effects applications is crucial.
