UGC Travel Grant Scheme

This Scheme aims at encouraging the college teachers to present research papers at international conferences conducted by foreign educational institutions abroad and study the working mechanism of higher education in those countries. Under this scheme, financial support is provided to permanent teachers and librarians of colleges and vice-chancellors of state universities, deemed to be universities and central universities. This facility is also available to the permanent teachers of Institutions of National Importance with a cap of 10% of the total approved cases in a year. The Commission members and UGC Officers at the level of Education Officer/Under Secretary and above are also eligible to apply. Financial assistance is provided for the total admissible expenditure such as foreign travel, registration fee, per diem allowance, visa fee, etc. The permanent teachers/ librarians once in 3 years and Vice Chancellors, Commission Members and UGC Officers once in 2 years can avail this facility. Applications under this Scheme are to be submitted 2 months prior to the commencement of the Conference along with research paper to be presented and acceptance letter from the organizers of the Conference.
